Paranorma [Trance Remix] Fixed

"I'm impressed."

date: January 23, 2007

Without going out of my way to check someone else's submission(s).. was this a complete remix of someone else's song, or just a tweaked up version? Either way, this is definitely a huge improvement compared to your stuff from mid-2006. Good work.

Author's Response:

This was a complete remix. Basically all I did was use a few of his melodies and maybe one of his samples. The original was more of a house track.

AP - Terminal

"Wicked track, good stuff."

submission: AP - Terminal
date: July 14, 2006

I tend to look for longer songs when reviewing, and this one caught my attention right off. I'm not really into much D&B, but I liked the beat and synths for this song. Definitely more original than the stuff Paragon makes. (Actually, I think most of Paragon's tracks sound the same.) Good stuff, keep it coming.

Beyond What You See

"Not bad."

date: July 12, 2006

Nice song, but it's a bit fast for trance. I suggest you download a song called LSD by DHHD, assuming you can find it. It's one of the best trance songs I've come across and would probably give you some inspiration. This song's a bit fast, and not really bassy, I would have classed it as D&B. Good song though, keep improving.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review GeeOhDee, thats the plan. Thnanks for the encouragement.

"My bad."

Your music definitely has a catchy quality about it. Obviously you prefer techno to trance or D&B. Though I'd have to say this has an electronic feel to it. I'm giving it a 5, and yeah.. I see that a lot of your music's been down-voted too. Since I'm a big promoter of this site's audio portal, I'll refer you to some people I know and get them download/listen and vote on some of your tracks. I just wish I could find out who's down-voting everyone's stuff so I could go burn their damn houses down. Anyways, sorry about before, your stuff is ace now as far as I'm concerned.

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot. I'd like to blame it on Newgrounds for being too lazy to track down people who vote 0 an absurd amount of times, but I can't really say anyone in particular.

I just wish there was some sort of incentive to vote towards audio so that normal audio-goers would vote 5 on their own accord.

Other then that, thanks a lot for the review!

"Not really Goa.."

submission: XI-6/6/06
date: July 6, 2006

I wouldn't exactly call this Goa Trance, but if you want real Goa, check out Astral Projection. It's a wonder why your music hasn't been used in several flash movies by now. As for me, I'd rather people not associate my music with their flash content. Your stuff is quite catchy, but like I told someone else.. avoid making Euro-pop music, it's crap and no one with sense really likes it. Anyways, ciao.

Author's Response:

Astral projection is the most cliche goa band in the world... I'm trying to stray away from cliche Goa =P Check out Infected Mushroom. Thats the style I want. Melodyless, diverse, and powerful =)

Thanks for the review.

A New Beginning...

"A few tips.."

submission: A New Beginning...

Nice job on this one, though I'm guessing it was a bit longer than what was submitted (seems to cut off at the end). What you should try next is giving your songs a harder beat. Slow down the bass a bit and experiment with making them sound a bit more techno-like. It sounded a bit like video game music. Nice job though. Just remember to avoid making Euro-trash pop music, I honestly can't stand that crap.

Author's Response:

Lol, when it cuts off it starts back up again if that is what you mean.

I don't like most of the stuff that the lower-class artists submit on here, but this submission actually excelled my expectations. Good stuff, keep submitting content like this. I'm definitely impressed. </gives a 5>

Author's Response:

Thanks man! Good to hear im not a 'lower class artist' lol.

Yakuza-Return To Me!

"Good stuff."

date: July 2, 2006

Nice song. The beat's a little fast... I would have classed it more towards a D&B style. It was kind of short, but definitely better than some of the stuff I see flooding into the audio portal. Btw, which program are you using to mix this stuff? Also, I gave you a 5 on this one. You've got what it takes to turn pro.

Author's Response:

Glad to see that you might stay by the way man. Uhm...I use FL6 and I dunno about going pro dude....I'm in it for people that like it. Newgrounds is just my spot to show it off i guess man. I'll send you a email thingy for NG.

Excellent song. Probably the best I've ever heard from the NG audio portal. Actually, it IS the best... so far. Keep making stuff like this, then turn pro DJ. You've got some serious talent.

Perfect Dark - ExtractionXx

"Masterpiece..."

date: June 25, 2005

I remember playing Perfect Dark back in the old days, and I do have a fondness for this style of music. Remixed video game music like OCRemix's have always been a fetish of mine. This one has a nice rhythm to it, but I was hoping to hear one from the Perfect Dark - dD Research... I always thought that was one of the better ones. Anyways... great track, you should definitely make more of these.

Weird thing... I pressed the review for this song and it came up as ParagonX9 Chaoz Survivor, and after I pressed enter I realized what happened. NG really gets on my nerves sometimes... but this was the biggest mistake I've seen to date. =S
